The activities are defined by the Act 147/2002 Coll. concerning the Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture and amendments to some connected acts, as amended by later regulations; Act no. 91/1996 Coll. concerning feedingstuff, as amended by later regulations; Act no. 110/1997 Coll. concerning food and tobacco products, as amended by later regulations; Act no. 154/2000 Coll. concerning cultivation, breeding and records of livestock, and the rule of practice for these acts

1. It performs biological testing of the feed, pre-mixes and supplementary substances.
2. Upon the authorisation from its founder, it performs testing of final hybrids of meat breeds of pigs.
3. It performs the state control of carcase classification of animals.
